EEEK!! I am so excited you want to get to know me. Little O’ me and my blog. That’s so cool! Don’t forget to introduce yourself so I can get to know you too!
What would you like to know about Me?
If I had to describe myself in one sentence I would say… brace yourselves…
I am a creative, scrapbook loving, label making, thinks I can do everything, devoted quirky wife, crazy loud cheerleading, sports mom enthusiast. I am also a full time working but thinks I am still a stay at home mom of three incredible kids, who hates to cook mom. (Oops, that was two sentences 🙂 ) I think that sums it up, don’t you? Guess that was kinda like saying “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”? Anyway…
Maybe I should describe myself in a list instead:
- I have a serious problem with OCD, lists and making decisions for fear that things aren’t perfect
- I am an introvert masquerading as an extrovert
- I refuse to be my kids best friends (they have plenty) but I am incredibly close to my kids
- I can’t deal with a messy house, it makes me feel like I have lost control
- I love LOVE LOVE the color white!
My mom says I am the only one she knows that can organize organizing. Mr. Man draws the line when I start to label his tools. My Little Man has organized and labeled all his Lego by color (I hope to make that a post soon) #proudmama and my Graduate can’t believe I can always find the exact piece of paper in the pile of papers she needs. She says even my “piles of paper” are organized. Oh… and my Middle Man is the only one of us that is half normal. Our life is full of Lego on the floor, TV’s blaring, video games playing and music pumping and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My favorite tool is my label maker (I have several). If I can label it I will, but Mr. Man draws the line when I insist on labeling anything in his garage. Let’s see who wins this battle…
This is Me, Crazy Label Maker Lady!
Mr. Man and I have been married for over 21 years. Can you believe it? Me either? Just kidding… He is my best friend, partner in crime, volunteer firefighting, road-raging, crazy cheerleading dad and not to mention DIY handyman extraordinaire. (There I go with the lists again, my bad 🙂 ) There is nothing he can’t do. Oh and not to mention the love of my life <3.
Meet Little Man, Middle Man and our Graduate, our three kiddos. They are the most amazing individuals ever #imnotbias #greatestkidsever #proudmomma
Little Man is our outdoor loving, keep me on my toes, quietest, symphony of noises, fashion guru, junior chef, silly kid and the youngest of our troop.
Middle Man is a proud professed geek and soon to be my tech support, funniest, one-liner-jokester, can’t stop talking, loudest red-headed kid and the typical middle child. His friends have dubbed themselves “the nerd herd” (I love it!!)
Our Graduate is our firstborn and the one about to head to bigger and better things (insert tears here), social media obsessed, who is often referred to as kiddo by Mr. Man and queen of the selfie, yet camera shy when I want to take a photo of her, what’s with that eh?
Meet the newest member of our family, Oscar, our English Springer Spaniel. He is a lively addition to our team and so much fun! Oh, and did I mention I am terrified of ANY animals (gulp, yep you read that right) so Oscar and I are figuring this out together.
And this is me…
Standing in my superhero pose, reminding myself that I can achieve anything especially when I feel superhuman! (Yes I am a Grey’s Anatomy Fanatic, who doesn’t want a McDreamy in their life or a little crazy Amelia)
5 Things you may not know about me.
- I love making lists, is that not obvious yet?
- My kids and I drove across Canada by ourselves (without Mr. Man) and back through the USA on an amazing 6-week journey in a Giant RED Dodge Mega-Cab
- I cry at commercials but am seen as a tough-chic (not sure how that happened?)
- I have been married longer than both my parents (both their marriages… my parents both remarried their soul mates after I married mine)
- I have moved over 30 times in my life and went to 3 schools in grade 7 (no I am not an army brat)
The biggest lesson I am learning (emphasis on LEARNING, because I clearly I am not there yet) is that things don’t have to be perfect, that’s what makes beautiful memories (and I hope to catch them all on camera).
I started this blog to express my creative side and blog our life’s journey to creating a beautiful fun and organized home.
